In the letter of 1959 Alfred writes that he worked for Philips in Eindhoven from 1921 to 1924. We know that he was at Lewin hospital in 1921 and sent a postcard on 30 August. Perhaps he and his brother went down from Weißwasser to Eindhoven in the autumn or winter. Officially there is nothing of Alfred in the administration of Eindhoven. His brother only appears in registers from the moment he gets married. And yet there is a trace of Alfred which you will see further on. See also images of the Philips glassfactory.
