History
Alfred has apparently recovered his energy and is more active than ever. He visits a glass blower, a former client of his and is apparently planning to order raw materials. He seems to be in the mood for it. The contact with the person from Hemiksem apparently falls away. He meets up with his girlfriend from time to time, although he is very wary.

Health
A letter from Brazil indicates that Alfred had surgery. There are no papers in his file, but there is a registration card of the hospital. What he was suffering from I do not know. He was probably operated on for an inflamed appendix because he had a scar fracture a few years later. Note his name is written 'Jezelin' but he signs with 'Jecelin'.
Customers
There has been regular contact with Brazil but for some reason he has kept little of this. It is in one of the letters from a Blumenauer that reference is made to his operation.
