1983 Nothing new under the sun
History
Life goes on as it did the year before. Alfred still has contact with the person in Hemiksem. Apparently, things are not going well with the married woman and, of course, he cuts out all sorts of things from the newspaper, such as an article about Brazil.
He still has contact with the outside world, but this gradually diminishes, as he is no longer professionally active and is less able to walk.

Health
From now on, Alfred regularly goes to the pharmacy to have his blood pressure measured on a machine. His upper pressure is on the higher side, namely 20 to 23. Apparently, he is not comfortable with this and checks regularly.
